STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Date: 26^th January, 2016

My name is ######## from Devdaha-4, Rupandehi, Nepal. I am from a small family which includes my father, mother, elder brother and me. I was born in 15^th November, 1995. I have completed my higher secondary level (10+2) from Mahakavi Devkota College with Second Division in 2014.Similarly, I have completed my School Leaving Certificate examination from Basantapur Zenith English Boarding High School with first division marks in year 2011.My friends and family describes me as a loyal, hardworking, patience and social man. Besides these I believe that my distinguish characteristics in me is seeking a scholar and more challenging college environment is my skills, labor and my creativity that could be used productively to further a firm’s environmental objectives and progress in my career. Also I am very much keen on new technology experience on my specialized field of work. I possess a sound knowledge and keen interest in Computer Networks especially in Information Technology.

MY GOALS

My aim is to obtain the Bachelor degree in Information Technology (Computer Networks) to boost my career opportunity widely. I heard about the university in television advertisement by one of the leading educational consultancy of Nepal. For the purpose of betterment of my educational qualification and as the university holds a multicultural mix of international students, I was inclined towards the selection of this particular university. I want to convey that after the completion of my bachelor degree, I would like to return back to Nepal because it is sure and certain that there is enormous and plenty of opportunity for the career development in IT if we glance deeply. After completing my bachelor course here at Southern Cross University it would be a golden opportunity to me to do best in computer field and contribution to my country Nepal by utilizing the knowledge and experience that I gained during the study at Southern Cross University, Gold Coast/ Australia. Beside this, PSW is something when I will get chance to explore my professional and develop my related non-academic professional skills.

GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA A DESTINY FOR ABROAD STUDY

As we know that Australia is example or guidance in the whole world regarding education, political, social, economic, rules & regulation, act, freedom. Gold Coast has been my destination for study. Considering the fact about the educational background in Gold Coast there is an ample facility of practical, research, laboratory and also the resources, competition with scientific & Epitomize-Technology. As it houses 4 campuses of Australian universities, at Gold Coast besides studies I could also enjoy surfing, bush walking as a recreational activity to keep balance between my education and other refreshment activities. Gold Coast is best for studying abroad because it provides me as my acquisitions in IT i.e. I found this university comprising ample research environment, best lab, clarity education, scholars professors, global competitive environment, creativity, exhausts best technologies in college area, its subliminal location, facilities, assess education, avenue to discoveries, top rated, scholarships provided, friendly and cooperative friends, collaborative, support, different racial students, no discrimination. Also gold coast is one of the major tourist destinations I could easily get knowledge about culture of people from different reasons. It is one of the Australia’s youngest and fastest growing urban areas with great infrastructures also the climatic condition of this place is quite good. The climate which is subtropical, at an average of 25 degree Celsius, remains pleasant during the most of the academic periods of March to November which is good for a student from country like Nepal, which almost has similar climatic condition. I also found that accommodations and other living expenses at Gold Coast is somewhat much affordable that Melbourne, Sydney and other major cities. My father owns share at private school and also he is a part time professor with the annual earnings of 1,400,000 (One Million Four Hundred Thousand Only), which will be sufficient enough to support my accommodation and education also at Gold Coast.

REASON TO PURSUE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (COMPUTER NETWORKS)

The main reason among the most is only to become the professional System Analyst. I want to make career in this field; so therefore, I would like to gain a good knowledge in Computer Networks and Network Security. Since my Higher education I was very keen to do the creative things and used to graph the importance of Information Technology in present era as well as in our daily life. Also I have been grown from such environment and neighborhood from technical and engineering background.  These all things together inspired me to choose the path towards Information Technology. And also at present I think we should all have degree for this competitive world. For getting better technical knowledge I first choose to acquire a diploma in IT so that I could match up with the education standard of Australia, after this only I am willing to enroll into bachelor’s degree. Getting a diploma is only the best way to meet up all the technical knowledge that will be further require to complete my graduation degree with ease. With the complete knowledge that I will gain, I could be able to compete in the growing IT market of my country not only at a particular designation, but to different positions.

REASONS TO CHOOSE SOUTHERN CROSS UNIVERSITY AS A COURSE PROVIDER

I have never travelled to overseas and to my knowledge, got no relatives in Australia, therefore, I did research in many Universities in Australia before selecting Southern Cross University, which is more than 1600 km from Melbourne. As a result, I subsides attention towards SCU and motivated by prescription given to me by different scholars, friends, and my own knowledge in choosing this university. Also considering the fact that this university ‘SCU ’is selected in best university in Australia, propelled in quality education, and providing the opportunity of Credit transfer and realistic developed in information technology. Southern Cross University prides itself on the relevance of the degree to rapidly changing today’s industry and provides electives units like Entrepreneurship in IT, Data Mining which are not found in the most of the universities. Its location at gold coast also was a responsible factor for choosing this particular university.

As I want to try in due to the fact that I can't get quality education, resources, sufficient support and environment in the field of IT in my country. It’s sure and certain that I can get this facility at Southern Cross University. However the practical & research environment, advanced lab, technology, resources what I can't get here is provided by SCU. Well, if I got chance to study in SCU, it would be a golden opportunity to me to do best in computer field and contribution to my country Nepal being a graduate from SCU.

In Diploma of Business, which is of 1 year with inductive tuition fee of $39,040.00, will help me gain some knowledge related to some business, policies of Australia and other things. Again, 2 year long Bachelor in IT with the inductive fee of $39,040.00 at Southern Cross University, will helps me to learn about latest IT technology and some technical knowledge about the IT industry of Australia. The worldwide recognition degree and world top ranked college is the main reason I choose Australia. However, I am choosing SCU for my Bachelor degree in Information Technology because this university is Ranked no.1 in Australia for International Student Support under the QS system in the whole world and it employs the IT culture in every aspect. This university is ranked 401-500 in the Times Higher Education World University Ranking which can surely clarify that this university is the global recognition with global competition that definitely implies that we are getting quality education that leads to the development in the educational background and our career. This university also provides the internship of a course and it is the way leading to practical analysis and we can get knowledge of real market field. So I want to choose and undergo in this university and further enhance my career through this university.
